When I shut in myself in at darkness I never gave much idea to, Am I sack to sleep refuge tonight? I did not think about that until I took a excursion to Namibia, Africa the summer before sixth grade. This sling changed me from believe that everyone has a safe place to sleep, to being grateful for what I have. While my family was driving to the Etosha National Park, I byword a rear that was made of corrugated tin. It did not face the like a very safe place to sleep. I thought about the boy who might live there. The house did not have the luxury of electricity or racecourse water. on that point was no glass in the windows and no fe nce to stay fresh animals or critters out. Also on that trip we visited the Okaukuejo Primary School. at that place were iron bars on the windows. every the students lived in dorms on campus. Students wore one uniform and washed the other. Berta, w ho worked there, told us the parents were th! e native people who lived in the park. Many choose not to go menage but stayed the weekends at school. I know now that they stayed at school as much as they could because they were not safe at place. Alcohol and drug make fun were common. In some families the boys would be beaten and the girls abused. After this trip I realize how safe I am at home and wish that everyone could feel this way.
